Andrews Kurth’s Carroll Ray Named to UH Regent Board

HOUSTON – Andrews Kurth is pleased to announce that Carroll Robertson Ray, who is Of Counsel in the firm’s Tax practice in Houston, has been selected for a seat on the University of Houston System’s nine-member board of regents. She will serve through August 31, 2011.
Ray, along with new members Nelda Blair, Jacob Monty and Mica Mosbacher, will assist in the oversight of the system’s $1.1 billion budget.

In addition to her law practice in general estate planning matters and related issues, Ray serves on the boards of the Houston Ballet and Houston Museum of Natural Science and as secretary of the Cullen Trust for Performing Arts.
Ray has been named as a Texas Rising Star in Texas Monthly magazine from 2005 through 2007. She received a B.S. from Northwestern University in 1974 and her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2002.
