Andrews & Kurth and Mayor, Day, Caldwell & Keeton Merger Approved

HOUSTON -- The law firms of Andrews & Kurth L.L.P. and Mayor, Day, Caldwell & Keeton L.L.P. announce that the partners of both firms have approved their merger, effective October 1, 2001.

The merger joins two of Texas’ premier firms with complementary practice strengths and compatible cultures. Andrews & Kurth was founded in Houston in 1902, and Mayor, Day, Caldwell & Keeton was founded in Houston in 1982.

The combined firm has 350 lawyers in offices in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, London, New York, The Woodlands and Washington, D.C.
