Andrews & Kurth Adds Litigation Partner to Austin Office

AUSTIN, Texas -- Andrews & Kurth announced today that J. Scott Denko has joined the firm as partner in the litigation section of the Austin office. "This is a significant step in the growth of our Austin office," said Howard Ayers, managing partner of the firm. "With the recent additions to our corporate and securities and business technology practice in Austin, we continue to build a formidable presence and will be able to further serve our client's needs."

Prior to joining Andrews & Kurth, Denko was a partner with Steptoe & Johnson in that firm's Southwestern offices. He has extensive experience in the fields of patent and commercial litigation, trade secrets, unfair competition, licensing and intellectual property issues. "Scott is an excellent addition to our office," said Rex VanMiddlesworth, managing partner of the firm's Austin office. "We are building one of the finest technology practices outside of Boston and the West Coast.
