Andrews & Kurth Announces New Partners

HOUSTON -- Andrews & Kurth, one of the nation's leading law firms, announces four additions to the firm's partnership. "We are pleased to welcome these fine lawyers to our partnership," said Howard T. Ayers, managing partner for the firm.

Lawyers elected to the partnership in Andrews & Kurth's Dallas office are John Dugdale and Brigitte Kimichik. Lawyers elected to the partnership in the firm's Houston office are Scott Locher and Chanse McLeod.

Dugdale is in the firm's environmental practice and advises clients on regulatory, enforcement and remedial matters under all environmental media as well as on environmental issues arising from real estate and corporate transactions. He is a graduate of The John Hopkins University and received his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Kimichik is in the firm's corporate and securities practice and has experience in the representation of mortgage loan originators in securities lending programs, the updating of program loan documents, loan documentation and negotiation, and supervision of the loan's closing process, problem loan modifications, workouts and related foreclosures, commercial leasing and acquisition and disposition of all types of commercial properties. She is a graduate of The University of Texas and has her J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law.

Locher is in the firm's litigation practice and has broad experience in state and federal courts, including product liability, toxic tort, energy, banking, landlord/tenant, DTPA and bankruptcy cases. He is a graduate of Stanford University and received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.

McLeod is in the firm's business transactions practice and his experience involves a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including the sale and purchase of a variety of properties. His practice also includes substantial experience in office, industrial and retail lease transactions and significant experience in single family residential subdivision development. He is a graduate of The University of Texas and received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
