Andrews Kurth Attorney Jonathan Levine Named to Turnarounds & Workouts Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyers of 2007

NEW YORK – Andrews Kurth Associate Jonathan Levine of the New York office was one of 12 lawyers to be named to Turnarounds & Workouts Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyers of 2007. This is an annual recognition of restructuring lawyers under the age of 40 who are leaders in the restructuring industry. Nominees were chosen based on their distinguished case work and outcomes over the last year as well as other professional achievements.

During the 14^th Annual Distressed Investing Conference to be held from November 26-27, 2007, nominees will be recognized at the Honors Banquet for the 2007 Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyers on Monday, November 26 at 7:00 p.m.

Jonathan’s practice involves the representation of official and ad hoc creditors and stockholders committees, significant strategic and financial investors and debtors/issuers in complex Chapter 11 reorganizations and out-of-court restructurings.  In the past year, Jonathan has served as Counsel to the Ad Hoc Committee of Holders of Preferred Stock in Metromedia International Group, Inc., the Ad Hoc Committee of Equity Security Holders in Refco, Inc. et al. Chapter 11 case and the Ad Hoc Committee of Equity Security Holders in Allied Holdings, Inc. Jonathan received his B.A. in 1996 with honors from Stanford University and his J.D. in 2000 from University of California at Los Angeles School of Law.
