Richard Kronthal Joins Andrews Kurth in New York

DALLAS – Andrews Kurth is pleased to announce that Richard H. Kronthal has joined the firm’s New York office as a Partner and will practice in the Corporate/Securities group.

Kronthal’s practice includes representation of domestic and international financial institutions in a broad array of capital market transactions, with a particular emphasis on transactions in the energy sector. He also counsels companies focused on various emerging technology industries, including wireless communication and nanotechnologies.

In his corporate practice, Kronthal represents both buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions, and advises senior executives and directors of public companies concerning leveraged buyout, corporate governance and other matters. Additionally, he has counseled developing countries in connection with infrastructure projects, and private equity funds in connection with carbon-trading mechanisms under the Kyoto Protocols.

Prior to joining Andrews Kurth, Kronthal was a partner in the New York office of Kaye Scholer LLP. He earned his J.D., cum laude, in 1981 from The University of Michigan Law School. He earned a B.A., magna cum laude, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1978.
