Andrews Kurth Expands National Real Estate Practice
January 4, 2007NEW YORK CITY – 100-ranked Andrews Kurth announced today that it has added a Real Estate group to its New York office. Three senior real estate attorneys, Richard Liebman, William Snedeker and Daniel Berk, will add an experienced real estate practice and capabilities to the New York office and expand the firm’s national Real Estate practice to nearly 60 lawyers.
Liebman and Snedeker joined the New York office as Counsel in the firm’s Business Transactions section on January 2, 2007. Berk will be joining as an Associate in the Business Transactions section on January 9, 2007. All three lawyers are formerly of Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C.

Richard Liebman received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1980 where he was a member of the Brooklyn Law Review. He received his M.B.A. in finance and marketing management from Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York, in 1977. He graduated with a B.A. in economics from the University of Denver in 1973. Richard’s experience is focused on real estate matters, real estate conduit financings, leasing and Brownfield transactions and includes retail commercial lease negotiations, 1031 Exchanges, complex real estate transactions and new construction issues.
William Snedeker received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1983. He graduated with a B.A. from Amherst College in 1979, cum laude. William’s experience includes public offerings of common stock, REIT interests and limited partnership interests in real estate partnerships and equipment leasing partnerships, private equity transactions, and representation of lenders and borrowers in acquisition financings, leveraged lease financings and conduit loan financings. He is a member of the Structured Finance Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
Daniel Berk received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1996. He received an M.S. in real estate development from New York University in 2005. He graduated with a B.A. in philosophy and political science from the University of Rochester in 1993, cum laude. Daniel’s experience is focused on complex commercial real estate transactions, including, but not limited to, multi-state portfolio acquisitions, conduit financings and 1031 Exchanges.
